Landfill Lining

The Dense Asphaltic Concrete impermeable landfill barrier system laid by WALO is a ”Fully Engineered Specific Barrier System” which does not have to rely on it being laid 50cm thick to make it impermeable and strong enough to withstand decades of service.

The DAC barrier is designed to be completely impermeable to methane and leachate found in most solid waste landfill deposits.

Due to its high density, dense asphaltic concrete is extremely resistant to chemical attack, it is strong and yet flexible having a total thickness of only 34cm.


DAC is very stable on slopes up to 1:1.5 (34⁰) providing more void space for the waste product and ensuring a perfect barrier against leakage to the environment.
